Seals Host Vancouver Regular Season Finale

April 16, 2024

Seals host Vancouver in regular season finale Friday night at Pechanga Arena looking to regain momentum heading into the NLL Playoffs.

The San Diego Seals, 12-5, will host the Vancouver Warriors (8-9) this Friday night (April 19) at Pechanga Arena in the regular-season finale for both teams. Faceoff is 7 p.m. PT and tickets are still available here.

The Seals will celebrate Fan Appreciation Night on Friday and the first 600 fans in attendance will receive a special limited-edition Wes Berg bobblehead.

The Seals have already locked up the No. 2 seed in the National Lacrosse League Playoffs, which begin a week from Saturday (April 27) at Pechanga Arena. Their first-round opponent is still TBD though the Seals have guaranteed themselves of home-field advantage through at least the semis should they advance. And at 8-9 and currently in a three-way tie for eighth place in the League with Saskatchewan and New York, Vancouver still has a shot at reaching the playoffs but would need a win Friday night at Pechanga Arena.

The Seals come into Friday night’s game having won six of their last eight but they’re catching a Warriors team that’s won five straight and is peaking at the right time. After a 13-8 loss to Albany on March 8, Vancouver’s record stood at at just 3-9, but wins over Las Vegas (13-12), Philadelphia (21-12), Las Vegas again (12-9), Halifax (15-13) and New York (16-10) have given the Warriors a chance to qualify for the playoffs.

All-time the Seals and Warriors have met 10 times and the Seals hold a 7-3 series edge. The Seals have won three straight in the series and they’re 4-2 in games played at Pechanga Arena. Four of the 10 games between the Seals and Warriors have been decided by one goal with the Seals winning three of those four contests. And in the last three games between the teams, San Diego has outscored Vancouver 42-29.

Broadcast Information: Friday night’s game will be broadcast locally in San Diego on KUSI-TV and streamed to a global audience on ESPN+.
