With great anticipation, it’s official that the San Diego Seals will make their long-awaited Frontwave Arena debut on Saturday, Dec. 19 when they face the Oshawa FireWolves in their 2026-27 home opener. Faceoff is 7 p.m. PT.

The Seals faced Oshawa just once last season, defeating the FireWolves 13-7 at the Tribute Communities Centre in Ontario. It came on a night in which Ben McIntosh scored a season-high five goals, while Wes Berg scored a pair to go along with a season-best seven assists.
The FireWolves were 6-12 last season, but they closed out the campaign strong, winning four of their last six. They were led by forwards Alex Simmons and Tye Kurtz, who scored 41 and 39 goals, respectively, as Simmons led the squad with 109 points while Kurtz tallied 83.
“There’s definitely a buzz when the schedule starts to come out,” said an excited Seals Head Coach Patrick Merrill. “Let the anticipation build. We know we’ve got some time still until that home opener arrives but we can’t wait to suit up in front of our fans at Frontwave Arena for the first time and there will be fireworks for sure that night when we face the FireWolves. It should be a heck of a game!”
The Seals’ entire 2026-27 season schedule is expected to be announced in the coming days.
The Seals announced in August that starting this season they’d be playing their home games at Frontwave Arena, North San Diego County’s state-of-the-art arena that opened to rave reviews in 2024.
