Just days after teasing fans with the reveal of their home opener against the Oshawa FireWolves, the San Diego Seals pulled the tape off their entire 2026-27 National Lacrosse League schedule and Seals fans are in for a treat this season, the team’s first at North San Diego County’s Frontwave Arena.
It’s also a great schedule for Seals fans as the team’s first eight regular season home games at Frontwave Arena are all scheduled for Saturday nights at 7 p.m., making for an easy commute from all parts of San Diego, while the team’s regular-season finale is a Sunday afternoon 3 p.m. matinee.
Season tickets for all nine regular-season Seals home games at Frontwave Arena are currently on sale at both sealslax.com and frontwavearena.com
For the second year in a row, the Seals will open the season on the road Thanksgiving Weekend. This year’s trip, however, will have a little extra stuffing and gravy as it’s a Saturday, Nov. 28 meeting against the Toronto Rock, the nemesis that defeated the Seals two games to one in last season’s NLL Playoff Semifinals.
The Seals will have three weeks to digest the Rock before returning to San Diego to make their Frontwave Arena debut in the previously-announced Dec. 19 home opener against the Oshawa FireWolves.
The early-season schedule is not kind to the Seals as it sees the team play four of its first six on the road, including three of four to ring in the New Year, but the benefit of the early travel is the Seals will play seven of their final 12 in front of their home fans at Frontwave Arena.
“Line ‘em up and let’s go,” said Seals Head Coach Patrick Merrill. “We signed up for 18 and hopefully a few more and we can’t wait to get started. Right off the bat we get a chance to face Toronto and get rid of the awful taste we’ve had in our mouths all offseason long and then we get a chance to come home and start our new chapter at Frontwave Arena in front of our fans against a gritty Oshawa team. What more could you ask for.”
The Seals and the rest of the NLL will break for Christmas following the matchup against Oshawa, and the boys in purple and gold will return to the turf right after the New Year for the front-end of a home-and-home against the Saskatchewan Rush. The first meeting is set for the Saskatoon’s SaskTel Centre on Saturday, Jan. 2 before the teams reconvene a week later, Saturday, Jan. 9 at Frontwave Arena. Faceoff for the latter is 7 p.m. PT. Revenge will most certainly be on the mind of the Seals as they look to turn the tables on the Rush, who swept the two meetings between the teams last season, winning by a score of 12-9 in San Diego before defeating the Seals 10-9 six weeks later in Saskatoon.
After dealing with the Rush, the Seals will pack their travel bags for a pair of back-to-back roadies. The first is Friday, January 15 at Colorado, and eight nights later (January 23) it’s off to Western New York to face the Buffalo Bandits. The Seals will return to Frontwave Arena to host the Calgary Roughnecks on Saturday, January 30 at 7 p.m. PT.
The Seals are back on the road in Vancouver on Feb. 6 and will then enjoy a bye before the schedule finally turns in favor of Frontwave Arena’s newest tenants.
Saturday, February 20 begins a stretch that will see the Seals play three of four at home. The first pits the Seals against the Georgia Swarm. Expect the visitors from the Peachtree State to arrive at Frontwave Arena with a chip on their shoulder after the Seals marched into Duluth’s Gas South Arena late last season and knocked off the then 10-5 Swarm by a score of 9-7 to end a five-game losing streak and keep the team’s postseason hopes alive. Seals captain Wes Berg and Ben McIntosh led the way offensively as the two combined for five goals and five assists, while Noah Armitage scored twice Chris Kavanagh scored his first-career NLL goal. Chris Origlieri outdueled Georgia’s Brett Dobson between the pipes, stopping 33 of the Swarm’s 40 shots in the win.
The Seals will head back to New York to close out February for a matchup against the Rochester Knighthawks on Feb. 27 before returning home for a two-game homestand against the Bandits and the Halifax Thunderbirds on Saturday, March 6 and 13, respectively. Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m. PT. The Seals and Bandits are longtime rivals and if last season’s contest was any indicator, a 9-8 Bandits win in overtime, expect another hard-fought affair. And don’t expect anything different when the Seals and Thunderbirds lock horns as last season’s game also ended by a 9-8 score, though it was the Seals who prevailed over the visitors from Nova Scotia.
The final six weeks of the regular season sees the Seals alternate road and home contests. On Friday, March 19, the Seals head To Georgia to take on the Swarm before returning to Frontwave Arena on Saturday, March 27 to host the Colorado Mammoth. Even though the teams will have already met in the Mile High City in January, expect a feisty bunch to roll into Frontwave Arena as Colorado almost certainly hasn’t forgotten the Seals’ 13-12 overtime playoff win in last season’s NLL quarterfinals.
Games 15 and 16 presents another home-and-home, this one however comes against the Seals rivals from Sin City, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs. They played two memorable contests late last season as well. The Seals defeated the Desert Dogs, 14-12 in San Diego to clinch a spot in the NLL Playoffs before the Desert Dogs turned the tables the following night, knocking off the Seals, 16-18 in Las Vegas. The first game of this year’s home-and-home is Friday, April 2 in Las Vegas before the teams do it again eight nights later on Saturday, April 10 at Frontwave Arena.
The Seals will close out the regular season with a pair of contests against teams that fly the flag that bears the Maple Leaf. Saturday, April 17, the Seals will visit Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome for a rematch against the Roughnecks before closing out the 2026-27 regular season at home on Sunday, April 25 in a 3 p.m. matinee at Frontwave Arena against the Vancouver Warriors.
