Seals sign Hutchison and Robertson and agree with Walter

The Seals put pen to paper and signed a pair of defensemen on Saturday morning, inking Trent Robertson and Dylan Hutchison, while also agreeing to a two-year contract with Clark Walter (pending league approval), who the team acquired earlier this week in a trade with Saskatchewan.

Robertson signed for three years and Hutchison for two.

Robertson is a 6-4, 225-pound defenseman out of Clairington, Ontario, who most recently spent time with the Ottawa Black Bears. He was originally selected by the Buffalo Bandits in the second round of the 2024 NLL Entry Draft with the 19th overall pick.

Hutchinson is a 6-1, 190-pound defenseman who’s spent time with the NLL’s Panther City Lacrosse Club, the Las Vegas Desert Dogs and the Philadelphia Wings. The 31-year-old native of Peterborough, Ontario has appeared in a total of 79 career NLL games, playoffs included. His career stats include 248 loose balls secured, 33 caused turnovers and 44 blocked shots to go along with four goals scored and 33 assists. Hutchinson’s brother, Drew, is a goaltender who’s spent the last four NLL seasons with the Halifax Thunderbirds.
